Signifikant releases the latest version of the Signifikant Aftermarket Platform, Version 5,4.
This marks an important milestone in the evolution of the Signifikant Platform. While this release is incremental in scope, it introduces critical architectural changes that lay the groundwork for our next-generation, modular and API-driven framework. These updates are designed to prepare our customers for a more flexible, scalable, and integration-ready environment, where business systems can interact seamlessly and data flows more intelligently across the organization
Architectural Updates
ContentAPI Early Version
With this release, we’re taking a significant step toward a modernized and modular architecture.
The ServerAPI—which has served as the backbone of our system—is being gradually replaced by the new ContentAPI. From this version onward, the ServerAPI will be automatically turned off and fully discontinued in upcoming releases.
The new modular architecture introduces a collection of powerful APIs, each designed for specific tasks and seamless interoperability across the Signifikant suite. Some of the APIs are as follows:
- ContentAPI – The new source of truth for product information retrieval, built for precision and flexibility.
- ContentEditAPI – The only route for modifying product data, ensuring full compliance with business rules and ownership logic.
- AuthenticationAPI – A unified, secure authentication service supporting multiple login methods.
This transition lays the foundation for a next-generation Signifikant ecosystem—smarter integrations, faster performance, and simplified scalability.
Security Updates
We continue to strengthen platform security with improved authentication, enhanced data permission handling, and a consistent validation framework across all services—ensuring your system is always protected and compliant.
Signifikant Manager
Version 5.4 also enhances the Manager with key usability and performance improvements:
- Watermark images based on presentation type
- Sort specifications directly in the pane for easier navigation
- Automatically archive imported XLSX files for better data traceability
These refinements help teams manage content faster and more intuitively than ever before.
Web Viewer
We’ve made the Web Viewer more interactive and collaborative:
- Allow to show open order lines for a reseller to allow them to easily see what is not yet delivered
- Add and manage review notes directly in the viewer
- Embedded videos now play inline or in pop-up mode for richer visual engagement
- Add notes to orders for better traceability
- Clickable URLs within messages for improved communication
- Background product downloads—no more locked sessions while retrieving large files
- A revised permissions model, including clear rules for guest and unidentified users
The result is a more dynamic, user-friendly experience that supports real-time collaboration and insight.
